It's that time of year again where we are all going outside to fight the winter elements and get our shoveling done after a snowfall.  

It's important to keep driveways and sidewalks clear to prevent slips and falls that cause injury. It's also important to use proper technique when it comes to shoveling. Improper technique can cause pain and lead to injuries. Incorrect Technique: Correct Technique:
  • Rounded back
  • Lifting with your back
  • Narrow stance
  • Twisting your back to throw snow to the side
  • Flat Back
  • Bending at hips
  • Lifting with your knees
  • Wide stance
  • Pivot with your feet then drop snow to the side

Dont over do it...take lighter loads if you have to! Stay safe and avoid injury this winter.
